Privacy Policy
Who we are
Stave, a service operated by OneNomad LLC (“Stave,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), builds websites and AI-search visibility for craft-beverage businesses across the United States and runs the website at stave.works. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or use our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
If you have questions about this policy or your information, contact us at hello@stave.works.
Information you give us
We collect the information you choose to share with us, including when you request a free AI visibility audit, email us, or become a client. This may include:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and the name and location of your business.
- The contents of messages you send us and any files or details you provide about your website, menus, events, or integrations.
- For clients: business information, account credentials for third-party tools you ask us to connect, and billing details handled through our payment processor.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit stave.works, our hosting provider records standard server information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you view. We use your approximate location (derived from your IP address by our hosting provider) to power the illustrative “local AI answer” demo on our homepage.
We aim to keep tracking to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies or sell behavioral profiles. If we add analytics or other cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
The local AI answer demo
Our homepage shows an example of how an AI answer engine might respond to a question about where to drink near you. To generate it, your approximate city (from your IP address) is sent to our AI provider, which returns an illustrative answer. We do not send your name, email, precise location, or other identifying details for this feature, and we cache answers by city so we are not re-querying for every visitor.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your requests, provide the free audit, and deliver and support our services.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve stave.works and our products.
- Communicate with you about your account, our services, and changes to our terms or policies.
- Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations and enforce our agreements.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed to provide our services. These include:
- Hosting and infrastructure (for example, Vercel), which processes site requests and approximate location.
- Our AI provider (OpenRouter, routing to model providers such as OpenAI) to generate the illustrative answer described above.
- Email and productivity tools (Google Workspace) used to communicate with you.
- Payment and accounting providers used to bill clients.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any material change to how your information is handled.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, to provide our services, and to meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Server logs and cached demo answers are retained for a limited period and then rotated out.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if an issue arises.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and individuals in the EEA and UK (under the GDPR) have specific rights, including the rights described above and, where applicable, the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@stave.works and we will respond as required by applicable law. You can also unsubscribe from any non-essential emails using the link in the message.
Age of users
Our services and content relate to alcohol and are intended for business operators and adults of legal drinking age (21 or older in the United States). Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links and services
Our site and the demo may link to third-party sites, such as Google Maps listings for the businesses named in an example answer. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. When we build or connect tools for clients (for example, ordering, shipping, or reservations platforms), those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of our site or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
