Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We believe the web should work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or other assistive technology. Because we build accessible sites for our clients, we hold stave.works to the same bar we set for the work we deliver.

Conformance status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We test with automated tools and with manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time box to check, and we fix issues as we find them.

What we have done

Steps we have taken on stave.works include:

• Semantic, server-rendered HTML with proper landmarks and a clear heading structure.
• A skip-to-content link so keyboard users can jump past the navigation.
• Visible keyboard focus on interactive elements.
• Color contrast checked against the AA thresholds.
• The animated AI answer demo is hidden from assistive technology while it runs, with a single live region that announces the finished answer once.
• Reduced-motion preferences are respected, so animation eases off for people who ask for less of it.
• Forms and controls have accessible names.

Known limitations

We want to be honest about the edges. The animated homepage demo prioritizes a clean, single announcement over exposing every interim state, so assistive technology hears the finished answer rather than each step along the way. Some third-party or embedded content we add later may not fully meet our standard. Where that happens, we will note it and seek an accessible alternative.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of the major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) and with common assistive technologies. Content is server-rendered, so it does not depend on JavaScript to be read.
